Workplace Safety and Insurance Board

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) was created in 1915 as the Workmen’s Compensation Board, through an Act of the Ontario government. The WSIB is legislated by the Ontario government and is responsible for administering the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA).

Traffic Tickets

Ontario’s demerit point system assigns “points” for various offences. Each driver has “0” points when they obtain their license. A G2 licensee will be called in to the Ministry of Transportation when they reach 6 demerit points and will receive a mandatory suspension at 9 points. A G licensee will have a review when at 9 points or over and will receive a mandatory suspension at 15 points.
